Recycled Claim Standard

RCS (Recycled Claim Standard), is an international standard used as a chain of custody standard to track recycled raw materials throughout the supply chain and to verify and trace the content of recycled materials in the final product. One of its main objectives is to increase the use of recycled materials in production. RCS is currently managed by Textile Exchange.

This standard, often translated into Turkish as “Geri Dönüşüm Standardı” or “Geri Dönüşüm Sertifikası”, verifies the presence and proportion of recycled materials in the final product.

The RCS standard is designed for products containing at least 5% recycled material. In this context, every stage of production must comply with the standard. This means that all steps, from the recycling phase to the product reaching the final seller, must be certified.

Every product produced with the RCS Standard must contain recycled material/raw material. The standard of these raw materials is also approved with the RCS certificate.
